Throughout this article, we describe how to easily import your products and bills of materials (BoMs) from Vault into Fusion Operations.
Integration Requirements
1. The Autodesk ID of the user trying to access the integration in Fusion Operations needs to match the Autodesk ID with access to Vault.
To give access to a user that already has access to an Autodesk Vault, an admin needs to follow the instructions below:
1.1 Go to Tools (1) > Administration (2) > Global Settings (3).
1.2 In the Global Settings click on Manage Access (4) and search for the user that needs the permission to access the integration (in Fusion Operations)
1.3 Click on the desired user (5) and press:
- Accounts (6): The Autodesk ID needs to be enabled
- Roles (7): The user needs to belong to the role that has access to the information you're trying to import to Fusion Operations
2. Ensure that the Vault server is accessible through the web, which means the Vault Gateway must be enabled.

3. Ensure you're using Vault Gateway from the 2023 release onwards.
4. Ensure your Vault data is searchable through Project Explorer.
Setting up the connection
1. From any page in the system press on your company's name (1) and select "Integrations" (2) from the dropdown presented.
2. On the integrations page, press on the "Configure" button, next to the Vault integration.
3. On the configuration page, Press "+Add Server" (1). On the "Server" box place the server URL (2), correspondent to the Vault's account. Afterwards, press the button "Connect" (3).
4. Select the Default Vault dropdown (1). This will be the Vault to be open when navigating the items list in Vault.
5. Select the option "Add Revision Product code" in case you would like to add the revision that's currently in place in Vault. It will be added to the current's product code as a suffix.
The format will be: "product code [Rev:"A"]"
6. If you need to add more than one Server / Vault, press "+Add Server" and repeat the process previously described.
7. Once you've finish to set up the integration, Press "Save".
Importing products/BoMs
There are three methods to import products from Vault into Fusion Operations: Via the Products Menu, the Production Order Menu and the Sales Order Menu.
Import Products and BoMs Via Products Menu
1. Go to the "Products" menu (1) and select on the "Add product" dropdown (2), located at the top right corner of the screen. Next, select "Import from Vault" (3).
2. Select the Server (1) and the Vault (2) from which you want to import your products. A list of all the project folders and subfolders in your Vault account will be displayed (3).
Note: The Server (1) and Vault (2) will be automatically filled out by default, accordingly to the selection done on the settings integration page.
3. From the available folders, select the design you want to import (0). There are several adaptations you can make to your vault model upon import:
Modify the product code by selecting the pencil symbol (1) or double-clicking on the product box.
Add a prefix (2) and/or a suffix (3) to the products being imported. If you choose to add them, make sure to click "Apply" (4).
Choose to import a single product or the entire product's Bill of Materials (BoM). To do this, check the boxes corresponding to the items you want to import into Fusion Operations (5).
When you are satisfied with your selection, click "Import" (6).
4. After pressing "Import," the products and all their BoM levels will be imported. You can view them on the page for the product that was created, nested under the "Bill of Materials" tab.
Import Products/BoMs Via Production Order Menu
1. From the Production Order / Job creation page, select on the "Import products from" dropdown (1) and choose the Vault option (2).
2. Select the Server (1) and the Vault (2) from where you want to import your products from. A list with all the project folders and sub folders you have in your Vault account will be presented (3).
3. From the available folders, select the design you want to import (0). There are several adaptations you can make to your vault model upon import:
Modify the product code by selecting the pencil symbol (1) or double-clicking on the product box.
Add a prefix (2) and/or a suffix (3) to the products being imported. If you choose to add them, make sure to click "Apply" (4).

1. From the Sales Order creation page, select on the "Import products from" dropdown (1) and choose the Vault option (2).
2. Select the Server (1) and the Vault (2) from where you want to import your products from. A list with all the project folders and sub folders you have in your Vault account will be presented (3).
3. From the available folders, select the design you want to import (0). There are several adaptations you can make to your vault model upon import:
