We are happy to announce we've just released an improvement to Autodesk Fusion Operations which will make it possible to print several barcodes that, when scanned, trigger specific actions within the mobile app.
These actions include several options, such as starting a new production, closing an existing one, and many more.
Throughout this article, a more detailed explanation of the available options and their usage will be provided.
How to Print the barcodes
1. Go to the Operations menu (1), select the Labels panel (2), and press the button "Actions Barcodes" (3).
2. A modal with the available Action Barcodes will be presented. Select the ones you would like to print (1), and press Confirm (2).
3. A PDF with all selected Action Barcodes will be generated in separate sheets, one sheet per action barcode selected (as displayed in the image below).
Description of Each Action Barcode
Depending on the settings of each operation, different options may be presented throughout the insert production flow.
Generic Operations
INSERT PRODUCTION (FOPS-PROD-INSERT)
Triggers the “Insert production” action to enter production data. When read on the worker screen, workers will be prompted with the Production Orders screen, where they can scan a barcode from a Production Order header sheet to select the operation to be produced. PRODUCTION COUNTER (FOPS-PROD-COUNTER)
Triggers the “Production counter” action to enter production data. When read on the worker screen, workers will be prompted with the Production Orders screen, where they can scan a barcode from a Production Order header sheet to select the operation to be produced. You can find more details on how to use these barcodes and get a complete workflow here.
SUBMIT (FOPS-CONFIRM)
Triggers the "Submit" action to finish the current production.
CANCEL (FOPS-CANCEL)
Triggers the "Cancel" action to discard the current production.
CONFIRM AND CREATE ANOTHER (FOPS-CONF-ADD-ANOTHER)
Triggers the "Confirm and create another" action to finish the current production and start a new one.
Automatic Machines
For the following actions, it's mandatory to have started a record with an Automatic Machine; otherwise, the described actions will not work.
START NEW PRODUCTION (FOPS-START-NEW)
Triggers the "Start new production" action to start a new production without finishing the previous one.
CLOSE OPEN PRODUCTIONS (FOPS-CLOSE-OPEN)
Triggers the "Close open productions" action to finish all current productions.
Multi Operations
On the following actions, it's mandatory to have started a record in a Multi-Operation, otherwise, the described actions will not work.
NO MORE PRODUCTS (FOPS-NO-MORE)
Triggers the "No more products" action to avoid adding more products.
SELECT ALL PRODUCTS (FOPS-SELECT-ALL)
Triggers the "Select all products" action to select all available products on the list.
SUSPEND ALL (FOPS-SUSPEND-ALL)
Triggers the "Suspend all" action to finish all current productions without recording quantity.
CLOSE ALL (FOPS-CLOSE-ALL)
Triggers the "Close all" action to finish all current productions.
CLOSE ONE BY ONE (FOPS-CLOSE-1-BY-1)
Triggers the "Close one by one" action to finish each production individually.
Operations with Labels
On the following actions, it's mandatory to have started a record in an operation that has a Label assigned to it; otherwise, the described actions will not work.
CONFIRM AND PRINT BARCODE (FOPS-CONFIRM-PRINT)
Triggers the "Confirm and print barcode" action to finish the current production and print its barcode(label).
CONFIRM AND FINISH (FOPS-CONFIRM-FIN)
Triggers the "Confirm and finish" action to confirm and finish the current production.
CONFIRM AND CONTINUE PRODUCING (FOPS-CONFIRM-CONT)
Triggers the "Confirm and continue producing" action to confirm and continue the current production.
