In Fusion Operations, you may need to repeat a specific operation due to several reasons. In this article, we present multiple approaches you can adopt to repeat an operation. This article allows you to choose the most adequate one, considering your account setup and the outcome you desire.
Options to modify a finished operation
Delete the previous production record and create a new one
If a worker did a production by mistake and that record needs to be repeated you can delete the record (1-3) and, afterward, create a new one (4).
Create another production to increase the quantity/time spent
The worker may need to perform the operation in the mobile app a second time, in two scenarios:
More units need to be produced:
In this situation, a new record with new produced quantities should be created on the same operation. The quantities produced for that operation will correspond to the sum of production records quantities (on the same production order and product).
The image below is an example of a new record that was added in the context above to increase the quantity by 1 unit.
Additional time needs to be allocated to the operation:
In this situation, no additional units were actually produced and the main goal is for the worker to have more time allocated to perform a specific operation (after the first record was closed).
For this scenario, a new record should be created under the same operation. Note that, for this case, you should input quantity "0" when closing the record, since no units were produced and the main goal is for the worker to have more allocated time on that operation.
Note that, if the production order is already closed the worker will not be able to use the mobile app to create new records, therefore those records will need to be manually added.
Use Rework Feature when wastes are registered
The worker may need to perform an operation a second time due to a defect found on the product, that was registered as waste. If you need more information on how to register waste you can read this article.
The time the worker spends fixing this waste (image below) can be calculated while performing a rework production, specially created for this effect. More details on rework best practices are described in this article.
