Autodesk Fusion Operations enables workers to perform multiple operations simultaneously. There are two ways to approach this situation, depending on the context. This can be achieved by either incorporating automatic machines or changing the options on your operations. In the following paragraphs both approaches will be described.
Multiple products/PO simultaneously
In the provided context, multi-operations are utilized when the worker wants to preform the exact same operation on different products or in the same product but across different production orders. These production records start at exactly the same time and finish at the same time. Follow the instructions below to set up a multi-operation where the same worker performs both tasks simultaneously.
To check more in detail this operation option, check this article.
1. Go to the Operations menu (1) and select the desired operation that is mean to be set up as multi (2) and activate the multi setting (3).
2. Repeat this procedure for all products that will need to have set up a multi operation. If you have a great amount of products, please contact support to do this action in bulk.
3. On the tablet, go to insert Production, and select the multi operation you will be working on.
4. Select all products of all open production orders that have the multi operation "Cutting" (1) or select the specific production order that has the products in which you will work on the multi operations (2).
5. Insert the quantities produced for each product.
Note that all production records preformed in the multi operation by the operator have the same start and end time.
Automatic Machines
The Automatic Machine Setting allows the worker to be linked to several machines at the same time and therefore have multiple production records open with different start and end times. Follow the instructions below to set up automatic machines, where the same worker performs several tasks simultaneously.
1. Activate the automatic machine settings.
2. Associate the automatic machines to the desired operations.
3. On the tablet, go to insert production and select the production order, product and operation. If you have more than one machine associated to the operation, select the in which one you will be working on.
4. When inserting production with the same worker, two options are presented:
"Close Open Productions", that allows the worker to close a previously open record. When selected, the records previously started will be shown. Select the desired record to insert the respective production. Repeat the process as many times as needed.
"Start New Production", that allows the worker to start a new record without closing the previous one.
Note that all production records preformed by the operator have different start time and end time but intersect themselves.
