How to create your Fusion Operations hub?
Hub creation is the first step you must perform when you purchase a license for Fusion Operations.
For this, please follow the steps below:
1. Access your Autodesk account by following this link
2. Go to 'All Products and Services'
3. Select 'Access' under Fusion Operations - admin.
4. After the image below is shown you have to input the hub name and select the Fusion Operations tenant (account name)
Note that if you only have one tenant it will be selected automatically and blocked. If you have more than one, then a drop-down will be enabled with the several tenants that are available.
5. After this process, you will be automatically redirected to the Fusion Operations tenant previously selected.
You know the hub provisioning was successful if the top blue banner "Trial period expires in x days" disappears.
How to Assign/unassign a license from a user?
1. Access your Autodesk account by selecting on this link
2. Go to User Management and select the option "By user".
3. You will be presented with the list of users. Press the chosen user to enable or disable it (to add a new user not from the list on the top right corner select '+invite users').
4. In the image below you can see the user page and the button to unassign/assign the user license highlighted in red.
Only when adding a new user, the number of seats available is shown.
How to assign/unassign shop floor licenses?
For the shop floor, you can add the workers directly in Fusion Operations and the licenses will be automatically assigned.
The licenses available are shown on the workers page:
Note that if you don't have any shop floor subscriptions no information on licenses will be displayed on the workers' page.
How create a worker from an already existing user?
A User license allows you not only to freely access the management interface menu according to your permissions but also to create a worker without consuming extra shopfloor licenses.
Please follow the steps below to create this type of worker:
First, go to your Fusion Operations profile (1 and 2) and click the "Create Worker" button (3).
A worker, with the user's name and chosen number will be created.
Note that this worker cannot be transferred or be used as an independent license and will be disabled when/if the user is disabled.
How to buy additional subscriptions?
Reach out to our sales team or your account manager.
Note that when you buy additional subscriptions they will not sum up to the pre-existent ones, they will have a new subscription number.
See general information on your subscriptions
1. Access your Autodesk account by selecting on this link
2. Go to 'Subscriptions and Contracts' under Billing and orders
3. On column quantity you have the seats of each subscription
What will happen if the payment date is overdue?
A banner will be displayed in Fusion Operations for 30 days, as the one in the image below.
After that period the users access will be blocked and it will present the message of the user without a license.
FAQ:
1. Why some of my workers were disabled after hub provisioning?
This means that you bought fewer shopfloor licenses than the number of active workers.
For example, if you bought 3 shop floor licenses and had 5 active workers during the trial, 2 will be automatically disabled.
The rule to disable workers is: First, the workers with no production records; then, the workers with the oldest production records (meaning workers who have not produced for the longest time are disabled first).
2. Why am I getting the error below:
"You do not have a valid license, please acquire one"?
"Please contact Fusion Operations for changes in licensing"
This happens if you do not have a valid license to access Fusion Operations, please ask your admin to verify the section "How to Assign/unassign a license from a user?".
3. Why am I getting the error "You are currently using all available licenses for Workers. Please contact support for more information."
This happens when you try to add a worker without available shop-floor licenses. Ask your admin to check the section "How to buy additional subscriptions" to fix this issue.
