In Autodesk Fusion Operations you can create ‘Recurring Maintenance Orders’, derived from your preventive ‘Maintenance Orders’.
Using an existing preventive ‘Maintenance Order’ as a template, you can create a recurrence that will open up a new ‘Maintenance Order’ with a frequency defined by you. To start this, you must first create a preventive ‘Maintenance Order’ for which you want to create a recurrence for (see this article for additional details). After this :
1. Go to ‘Maintenance’
2. Press ‘Recurring Orders’
3. Press ‘+Add Recurring Order’
A new screen will appear where you can define the recurrence that you want to create :
The rules to filling this information are the following:
Code: Code for the ‘Recurring Order’.
Start Date: Date in which you want the recurrence to start.
Stop recurrence on: This field is not mandatory, but in it you can define a date to stop the recurrence (no new orders will be created from the recurrence after this date).
Frequency: Defines the frequency at which you want new orders to be created from the recurrence, it can be defined in Days, Weeks or Months. After defining it, the system will tell you when the next date for recurrence is.
Order Template (order to be cloned): Defines which preventive ‘Maintenance Order’ you wish the recurrence to replicate. All fields of the original ‘Maintenance Order’ will be replicated by the recurrence.
The orders created by the recurrence can be identified by having the same code of the original, ‘Maintenance Order’ with the date in which they are scheduled attached to their code.
You can consult the ‘Recurring Orders’ menu to get an overview of the ‘Recurring Orders’ that you have created, seeing their start date, end date, next date, frequency and the order template being cloned.
It is also possible to edit these orders to change details about them if needed.

1. How does a Recurring Maintenance Order works?
When creating a Recurring Maintenance Order (RMO) the system immediately generates the first recurring order, defined by the date entered on the RMO that has just been created. In this way, the following maintenance order will only be generated by the system on the day that was set to the current RMO.
Let's consider the following example: today is February, 1st. A recurring order has been created on February, 3rd with start date of February 9th and a frequency of 3 days:
The 1st maintenance order is created immediately after the recurring order is created, and it is set to February 9th,
The 2nd maintenance order is set to February 12th, and will only be created on February 9th,
The 3rd maintenance order is set to February 15th, and will only be created on February 12th, and so on.
2. Why can't I see the order template maintenance order available when creating a recurring maintenance order?
Only maintenance orders with type set to "preventive" can be used as Order Template (Order to be cloned). Please ensure that this option is selected on the maintenance order that you want to use as template.
