See how to collect maintenance work on the tablet

Autodesk Fusion Operations allows you to create Maintenance Orders, which you must perform to keep your Machines working smoothly. Maintenance Orders might be regular servicing of equipment, routine checks, repair work, and replacement of worn or nonfunctional parts.

You can collect maintenance work data directly from the shopfloor, in your mobile device. To do so, follow the guide below.

Don’t forget to setup your mobile device to configure the ‘Maintenance Orders’ button and make it available.

1. On your tablet, click in ‘Maintenance Orders’.

2. Choose the Maintenance Order you will be working on.

3. If there is a Checklist assigned to your Maintenance Order, it will appear to be filled. You can fill it before proceeding or while working on your order.

4. Click in ‘Start Working’.

5. A 10 second countdown will appear: you can choose to ‘Stay in the maintenance order’ or to ‘Insert Downtime’ associated with the Maintenance Order/Machine. If you choose nothing, you’ll be redirected to the tablet main menu.

6. If in step 5 you clicked in ‘Stay in the maintenance order’, this is the screen you’ll be shown. If you don’t, you can go back to this screen from the tablet main menu, clicking in ‘Maintenance Orders’. On the bottom left of the screen, the time spent in the order is displayed.

7. You’ll be displayed 5 options:

  • Start machine downtime: in case your machine gets unusable, you can insert a downtime associated with it. In case the machine has components, you’ll be asked about which component of the machine is the downtime associated with.

After selecting the component, you’ll be asked to choose the downtime type, which must be previously created (learn how to create a downtime reason code here).

  • Add consumption: if you haven’t previously defined a spare part in the maintenance order or if for some reason you need another spare part, you can do so by adding a consumption - you’ll have to choose a part (product), the quantity needed and the serial number if applicable; then, you can ‘Add comment’ or ‘Confirm’.

  • Hold order: This button is applicable in case you need to temporarily stop the Maintenance Order. The status of the Order will change to "Waiting for parts” or “Waiting for technician", depending on the selection you make.

  • Suspend: the worker can click on ‘Suspend’ when he needs to stop the maintenance work for some reason (whether it is because he needs to start another task, or take a break). This action will stop counting the time of the maintenance record. To resume the work, you can go back to the maintenance order and click ‘Start working’.

  • Finish: click ‘Finish’ when you have finished the maintenance work; if you have previously started a downtime, you’ll be asked if the machine downtime is over; if not, you’ll be redirected to the tablet main menu.
