On the Shopify configuration page is divided in 3 major areas, we will explain inventory synchronization below and its options. You can check the other two on this article.
Automatic synchronize inventory
The Shopify integration can synchronize inventory quantities from Fusion Operations to Shopify.
When automatic inventory synchronization is enabled, stock-changing actions in Fusion Operations trigger an inventory update in Shopify. These actions are:
Production
Shipping
Receiving
Inventory adjustments
Important: Inventory synchronization described in this integration goes from Fusion Operations to Shopify.
Pushes the current on-hand quantity of every mapped product to the selected Shopify location. On-hand is the product's total stock in Fusion Operations, which is the source of truth: it overwrites the Shopify quantity instead of adjusting it, and Shopify subtracts the units committed to its own unfulfilled orders to obtain the available quantity. Fractional quantities are rounded down and negative stock is sent as 0.
Select a Shopify location
A Shopify location must be selected for inventory synchronization to work.
If your Shopify store contains multiple locations:
Open the inventory synchronization settings.
Select the Shopify location whose inventory should be updated by Fusion Operations.
Save the configuration.
If you the locations cannot be loaded add the location ID manually - check here how to get it.
Only one Shopify location can be selected at a time. The integration cannot synchronize inventory to multiple Shopify locations simultaneously using the same configuration.
Match products between Fusion Operations and Shopify
For inventory to synchronize successfully, the corresponding product must exist in both Fusion Operations and Shopify.
By default, the Shopify product title is mapped to the Fusion Operations product code.
An alternative SKU-based matching option is also available, where the Shopify SKU is used to match the corresponding product code in Fusion Operations.
Note: The SKU-based product matching option may require additional configuration. Contact your Fusion Operations representative or Support team if you need to use this matching method.
Unmapped products
If Fusion Operations cannot find a corresponding Shopify product, the product is identified as Unmapped.
Check that the corresponding product exists in Shopify and that the values used for product matching are correct.
Manually synchronize inventory
You can also trigger an inventory synchronization manually. Select the Shopify inventory location and press 'Synchronize inventory now'.
Use this option when you want Fusion Operations to send the current inventory quantities to Shopify without waiting for another stock-changing activity.
