Shopify configuration

Written by Vânia Lourenço

On the Shopify configuration page is divided in 3 major areas, we will explain two of them below and their options. And you can check the third one on this article.

1. Order management configuration

After connecting your Shopify store, you can setup how Shopify sales orders are imported into Fusion Operations.

  • Sales order code prefix: Use the Prefix field to add text before the sales order number when an order is imported from Shopify. For example, if the Shopify order is 1001 and you configure SHOP- as the prefix, the sales order code in Fusion Operations will include that prefix

  • Sales order code suffix: Use the Suffix field to add text after the sales order number when an order is imported from Shopify

Note: Shopify can also apply its own prefix and suffix to order numbers. The prefix and suffix configured in Fusion Operations are applied when the order is imported from Shopify into Fusion Operations.

  • Lead Time (days): Use this setting to define the lead time applied to products created through the Shopify integration

  • Add sales channel to the 'Created by' property when importing sales orders: enable this option to use the Shopify Sales channel information in the Created by field of imported sales orders. Shopify can manage orders originating from other sales channels or marketplaces, such as Amazon or Etsy. When Shopify provides this information and the setting is enabled, Fusion Operations uses the corresponding sales channel in the Created by field instead of identifying the order only by the Shopify integration.

2. Manual order import

Here you can define the manually import of Shopify orders into Fusion Operations.

This can be useful when you want to retrieve orders created during a specific period or if you want to pull any particular Shopify orders.

  • Import orders by date

You can filter Shopify orders using their creation date in Shopify.

Depending on the available filters, you can pull/retrieve orders between two dates or from a specific date onwards.

To import orders by date select the desired date or date range and press 'Import sales orders'.

  • Import specific orders using order codes

You can also retrieve one or more specific Shopify orders.

  1. In Shopify, open the order you want to import

  2. Copy the Shopify order number

  3. In Fusion Operations, enter the number in the 'Order codes' field. To import multiple orders, separate their order codes with commas (#1001, #1002, ...)

  4. Press the button 'Import sales order' to start the import

Important: Orders that already exist in Fusion Operations are not created again.

If an order has already been imported and was subsequently changed in Shopify, manually importing it again does not update the existing Fusion Operations sales order.

FAQs:

1. What happens if there are no new orders to import?

No additional sales orders are created. The interface may not display an additional result when there is nothing new to import.
